Trails

In my work I am concerned with the soft feel and the fluidity of the material. All works are formed freehand when the glass is molten. I work with different themes and due to the nature of the ideas each piece is unique. I am challenged by working in three dimensions and enjoy the possibility of capturing sensations.

These pieces are built up from the bottom by adding one trail after the other. The glass has the viscosity of thick syrup when 'stretched' around. It cools and hardens immediately and the next trail is added. Timing, teamwork and joy of the moment are keywords in this process. The frosting of the surface brings the piece to rest. It lets light ooze through the piece gently and enhances the tactile qualities that I treasure.
